Attention all learners. If you have been at Orion and/or have been through Orientation recently, you will have been using TeamViewer Meeting. As you will have noticed, TeamViewer Meeting is really slow to work and sometimes doesn't work well if you have a poor or slow Internet speed.
Effective immediately, and for your weekly meetings moving forward, I want you to download Zoom. Get the FREE Personal Use account for Zoom, which you will see on the zoom.us/pricing page. (copy and paste that link into your browser).
At meeting time, all you will do now is provide your mentor with your Zoom meeting URL, which you will get once you start your meeting. Again, no need to pay for Zoom, it is free, use the Personal one. It give you plenty of space and a 40 minute limit per meeting.
We will be moving all of our other meetings, Office Hours, etc. to Zoom as well. If you need help, reach out to us and we can help you learn how to use it. As with anything else, just play with it and use it. Be sure, though, that you, the learner, are able to screen share, especially for all your meetings.
