Admissions at Orion High School

We understand that you are in the process of making an important decision either for your or you child's education. We do not take it lightly that you are taking the time to visit our school, and have pulled together all the useful resources you need to make an informed decision about our school. If you are unable to find a piece of information, please do not hesitate to contact us for a prompt response. 

Accreditation is Important

First, we invite you to review our accreditations. It is not only important to know a school is accredited, but to know by who and what values those accreditations hold. Our Accreditations Page will provide you with that important information.

NCAA

For potential athletes at NCAA institutions, Orion High Schools courses meet NCAA's criteria for core course eligibility.  Upon admission, we will discuss that with you if applicable.

Grade Level Requirements

Second, we invite you to learn more about the requirements for each grade level and the various programs we offer. Orion High School provides full-time enrollment for K-5, 6-12 and adults who are re-entering high school, credit-transfer courses, including credit recovery courses.  Our vast course catalog for credit transfer courses includes World Languages, and Endorsement Area Electives, which are concentrations of courses in particular disciplines.  Those Endorsement Areas may be downloaded on this page. If you are seeking to enroll at Orion High School for full-time enrollment explore the high school pathways, 6th-8th grades information or K-5 information, accessible through this page as well.   The Course Catalog may be downloaded here as well for informational purposes.  All of Orion's courses from K-12 are coded to coincide with the State's Information Management System.  Because Orion participates in the the Texas Records Exchange, our demographic data collection process, our official records, and the like, correspond to the requirements in the States Information Management System (PEIMS).

Steps for Admissions and Registration

The steps  for admissions and registration are:

  • Explore the available pathways for 9th-12th; 6th-8th, or K-5
  • Fill out the Admissions Application found on the respective page, and submit it;
  • Return to the same page, scroll to the bottom, and make your tuition payment.  At check out, you will create a user account for the student, and complete the checkout.  (Parent accounts are created separately, and after the student's enrollment).

That's all! We will take it from there, and the new learner will log in and begin Orientation and Induction.
