FAQs - Diploma Pathways

Orion High School has one diploma granted to learners who meet the Orion High School graduation requirements and diploma eligibility requirements.

Diploma eligibility at Orion (an accredited insitution), means that learners must meet Orion's graduation/credit requirements in order to be eligible to receive the diploma.  That means:

An Orion learner who has been at Orion for more than 6 months, must meet the 26 credit requirement to graduate;

A student who transfers to Orion High School during their 'senior year at the public school', must complete 25% of the credits at Orion High School (that means 6 credits must be taken/earned at Orion) in order to be eligible for the high school diploma;

A student who transfers to Orion High School from our dropout recovery programs across the USA must complete the Senior Project Path, which enables them to complete the credits necessary for diploma eligibility.  The MINIMUM amount of time a learner must spend with Orion, in this category, is 4-5 months.

There are individual cases that do not meet any of the three criteria, above.  Orion High School will meet with individual learners to create a plan which will enable them to be eligible for the Orion diploma.
