Do you know what it feels like?

When you can't breathe 

So, you just suffocate

Cause you just can't wait

For everything

To just be okay

But you don't know how to make things right again

So, you just get on that ride again

And, you know it's wrong so you try again

But you just can't make things right again

And you can't get mad 

So, you just get sad

And the demons under your bed are the ones in your head

saying "Shut up."

"You're stupid."

"What were you thinking?"

"You can't do this."

"What is wrong with you?"

 

Do you know what it feels like?

When you're drowning

Everything's surrounding

The world's closing in

And you're doubting

If there's a god he sucks

Cause god shouldn't do this

He shouldn't put me through this

Everyone says lessons are meant to be learned

But, not these

These lessons are meant to be burned

 

"Shut up and take what's given to you!"

Oh, what I wouldn't do

Just to take

Everything off my plate

And it's hard trying to be perfect

Trying to make everyone think that you're worth it

And you take what is given because you think you deserve it

But you don't

Nobody's perfect

We've all got things hidden behind the curtain

Everyone tells you it'll be okay

But it seems like it'll never be that way

And you're just waiting on the day

Where everyone just goes away

And you're left with your thoughts

Just wait. . .
