World Languages Requirement (1 Credit)
Spanish I
This course introduces students to Spanish culture and language through a combination of online and offline dialogue. Through the Orion Listening Center, learners study Spanish and then create podcasts to share learned skills. Equal emphasis is placed upon developing skills in areas of grammar, reading and speaking this increasingly important language.
Spanish II
Spanish 2 immerses learners into more conventional/conversational Spanish. The course builds on foundational knowledge from Spanish 1. Learners are immeresed into practical applications of the language.
Although Orion requires one credit in Spanish, we recommend Spanish II for learners entering a four year university. Orion will accept incoming credit from other schools, in order to meet the requirement.
