One Recognized Diploma - Three Pathways to Get There!

College Preparatory Pathway
This pathway, called the College Preparatory Pathway, requires 24 credits for graduation.    The required courses reflect entrance requirements by most four-year universities.  Most universities require either a pathway that includes specific courses OR a cut-off on the ACT or SAT.  This pathway will ensure that learners will meet initial entrance requirements at most universities across the country and abroad.  Once accepted into this program, Orion will request official  transcripts and will grant all credits from home school, public school, or other private school.  Students who lack 1-5 courses for graduation will pay $180.00 per course (not $225.00 regular price).  Students who lack 6 or more will be placed on the Orion Tuition Program, which is $1000.00 for a group of six courses.  Once the transcript have been received and have been evaluated, Orion Advising will contact you.

Quality Pathway.  Orion has the Quality Pathway, which requires 22 credits for completion/graduation.  Candidates for this program are required to have completed 16 credits in the core content areas (math, science, social studies, language arts), and six additional credits from a chosen Readiness Pathway.  Orion's Readiness Pathways are described in detail in the Orion Course Catalogue; however, Orion offers three Readiness Pathways in Technology (HTML, Web Design, Introduction to PHP/MySQL, and a Culminating Project; A Criminal Justice Readiness Pathway; and an Engineering Pathway. Orion will accept all transfer credits toward the completion of this program.  Learners in the program are self-starters; complete course assignments in a timely manner; and are required take final examinations for each pathway course. Final examinations in these areas are designed to help learners prepare for any industry certifications they may wish to pursue.   The cost for this program is the same as with other Orion courses.  A set of six courses is priced at $1000.00 (payment plans are available)  Learners in this setting will be allowed to start at any time!

Leveling Pathway
The Leveling Pathway requires that learners graduate from Orion High School with at least 24 credits.  The last four credits must be taken at Orion High School (that may mean that some learners who already come to Orion with 24 credits will still be required to take 4 credits/courses at Orion).  Learners in the USA States who have met local credit/graduation requirements, but have not successfully passed one or more sections of their State exam (TAKS, FCAT, End-of-Course, etc.) may choose to have Orion evaluate their transcript. The program is called the Orion Leveling Pathway. If you qualified for graduation at YOUR school, but just did not pass the State's Exit level test, you may be eligible to graduate from Orion.  Orion is a private school, and does not require State testing.  If you would like to apply for this graduation program, please select the appropriate box from the Admissions Application. Learners entering Orion through this Pathway will be required to take four courses/credits from Orion High School.  The four courses may be selected at the time of Admission into the program.  The $300.00 fee is the total cost for this program, and must be paid prior to Orion requesting transcripts.
