Success Starts With Graduation!

College Prep Diploma Program

College Preparatory Program
Orion has the Premier (College Prep) Diploma Program, which requires 24 credits for graduation.  Orion will request your transcripts and will grant all credits from home school, public school, or other private school.  Students who lack 1-5 courses for graduation will pay $180.00 per course (not $225.00 regular price).  Students who lack 6 or more will be placed on the Orion Tuition Program, which is $1000.00 for a group of six courses.  Once the transcript have been received and have been evaluated, Orion Advising will contact you.



Your graduation checklist for the College Preparatory Program:

  • English Language Arts - 4 Credits:  English I, English II, English III, English IV - Advanced Placement English Literature and Advanced Placement English Language may substitute for English III and English IV
  • Mathematics - 4 credits: Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, Pre Calculus; Personal Finance may substitute for Pre Calculus as the fourth credit; Advanced Placement Statistics may substitute for the fourth credit
  • Social Studies - 5 Credits:  World Geography, World History, United States History, Government, Economics; Advanced Placement United States History, Advanced Placement Micro Economics, and Advanced Placement Government may substitute
  • Science - 4 Credits:  Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Astronomy; Advanced Placement Environmental Science may substitute for the fourth credit
  • World Languages (1 credit:  Spanish I)
  • Personal Fitness and Health - 1 Credit
  • Careers Proficiency - 1 Credit
  • Technology Proficiency - 1 Credit
  • Choices - 3 Credits - SAT Preparation, The Bible as Literature (this course may also substitute for World History or English III credit), Grammar and Composition, Spanish II, Communication


4 Year University InformationOrion allows learners to choose their path.  This program is intended for learners desiring to enter into a degree granting program (a 4 year college or university).  Typically, two years of World Languages credit (same language) are required for learners entering a four year university.
